Software that ensures that these rights are retained is called free software."
All the hardware design files for the projects are released under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 (BY-NC-SA) license. The files are published on Google Code and may also be posted periodically on this webpage.
From the creativecommons.org website: "This license lets others remix, tweak, and build upon your work non-commercially, as long as they credit you and license their new creations under the identical terms."
Subversion (SVN)
For those of you who are running Windows, you might consider using DownloadSVN to download all the files from the Google Code site. It is a very simple application that doesn't even need to be installed. All you do is enter the SVN URL:http://gmsk-dstar.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/
select a destination folder on your machine and then press "Start". In a few seconds the latest version of the whole repository will be downloaded to your machine.
For those of you running OSX or Linux, then you can use the command line SVN to check out the files:
svn checkout http://gmsk-dstar.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ gmsk-dstar-read-only
If you are running OSX and SVN isn't installed then have a look at these Instructions.
